Most probably you already heard that “content is king”. It is the content that allows you to promote your business on the social media, that will help you get more prospects and customers due to the call of action you have in each piece of content you write, and that will allow you to have many more pages on your website. The problem with this is that you know you need to write high-quality content that engages your readers but you just don’t know how to start. And you just feel stuck.
Here’s a simple formula you can follow to write high-quality and engaging blog articles:

#1: Understand Your Audience

Before you even start to write, you need to understand who you are writing for. You need to know what they want to know about and their problems so you can provide them a solution.

You need to make sure that you’re targeting the right people. For example, if your target audience is the millennials than it would be a mistake to try to sell them something. You would be rather more successful if you wrote about social media and their role influencing their lives, for example.

#2: Deciding on the Topic and Title

To make things easier, try to think about different general topics that make sense to your target audience. From there, you might think of the different ways you have to approach that topic. Your final title usually is only written at the end but you can already have different ideas for it.

#3: Write an Engaging Introduction

By using a statistic or interesting fact or telling a joke or a story, you’ll be captivating your reader to keep on reading your blog article.

After this, you should describe the main goal of your article and explain to them how you will be able to solve whichever problem your reader is having.

#4: Organize your content

Make sure to use bullet points, lists, sections, or tips. This will help you have your content more organized, especially if your article is long.

By providing not only quality content but organized content, people won’t feel so overwhelmed and they’ll probably keep reading it until the end.

#5: Write

Now it’s time to actually write the article. You already thought about the main subject and the way you want to address it. You already came up with ideas to have your lists, tips, or bullet points. In case you need to do some research to do a more comprehensive article, do it now.

#6: Edit/proofread your post, and fix your formatting

Just as important as writing your article is editing and proofreading it. Even if you’re not the best with grammar and spelling there are free software that can help you. You can also ask some coworker to make this for you. It’s always great to have another pair of eyes checking the content before you publish it.

You should also take this time to add images to your article. A related featured image is a must and other images related to the article along with it will turn your article much better and easy to read.

#7: Call to Action (CTA)

One of the main goals, when you’re writing, is that you reach the highest number of interested people. By providing a CTA either for downloading a free ebook, to subscribe to your blog, read a related article, is always something to consider.
